You are volunteering to assist TCHC in counting and surveying homeless persons who live on the streets, camps, and vehicles within Tarrant and Parker County. We will gather at one of four staging areas the evening of January 24, 2013. Volunteers will be assigned a route to canvas, identify and interview homeless persons. Required training will be provided via online webinar and the night of the count at Fort Worth and Arlington. MUST BE 18 years of age or older. Individuals or groups are welcome to volunteer.
Our community is required to count the homeless during the last ten days of January to provide the federal government with an accurate point-in-time count of persons experiencing homelessness and allow the community to understand the current extent and nature of the experience of homelessness to improve local planning and service delivery.
