Protecting Our Flag

When brothers Zach and JonMichael Fenimore noticed a flag flying at their former elementary school, after school hours, they did something about it. The two lowered and folded the flag. The Junior Cadet Corps and Junior ROTC members later learned the crossing guard who usually does it, had been rushed to the hospital. Thankfully, Mr. Epps, the man who taught them how to take care of a flag, is feeling much better now and he has to be proud of the Fenimore brothers. I am!

When you’re a high school senior, getting a college acceptance letter is a big deal. Jordan Nixon got to experience that great feeling over and over again. The high school senior from Georgia received acceptance letters from 39 schools.

McConaughey in DFW

If you thought you saw actor Matthew McConaughey here in town this week, you probably did! He was here to speak with local students who recently lost their beloved teacher and other kids too.

Officers & Gentlemen

Fence repairs are not cheap. Neither are the fines for not fixing a fence. So when the City of Arlington told Mary Joe Lott she needed to have hers repaired, she was overwhelmed. The widow couldn’t afford to get it done. When three police officers heard about it, they decided to help out. Not only did they pay for the supplies, they repaired her fence too. That's what you call Officers & Gentlemen!

Farewell Friend

Saying goodbye is never easy, especially when the person has been in your life for years. That’s why many of us were brought to tears when WFAA News Anchor, John McCaa, said farewell. After 35 years of coming into our homes to share the stories that shape our lives, he said so long with scripture. #FarewellJohn. May God continue to Bless and Keep You Too!

Run for Rhyan

We were blessed to meet the Colleyville Heritage High School Cheerleaders while visiting Disneyworld recently. They told us about a special event they're hosting in honor of a cheerleader whose life was cut short by a drunk driver. Today they stopped by the studio to invite YOU to Run for Rhyan!

Oh Baby!

The new Gerber Baby has been chosen. More than half-a-million babies applied for the job. The winner is one-year-old, Kairi Yang of North Carolina. She's the first winner of Hmong descent and her loved ones are very proud.
