Father & Son Find a Treasure

After 20 years of lobstering together, Luke Rand and his father captured a blue lobster. They plan to release the it or donate it for research. But they’re so grateful to have found a rare blue lobster together!

Have you heard? H-E-B just announced it's building a store in Mansfield! It's the grocers for Tarrant County location. Not word yet on when it will open. The grocer is also looking to hire 700 people this week in Plano!  ~ Starlene Stringer

Sportsmanship at its Finest

The Pearland, Texas baseball team is on to the next round in the little league playoffs after beating Tulsa this week. But it’s what a player from the losing team did that has everyone talking. Isaiah Jarvis was hit in the helmet by a fast pitch that knocked him to the ground. Everyone worried he was seriously hurt, including the pitcher who threw the ball, Kaidan Shelton. When Isaiah saw Kaidan crying, he went over to comfort his opponent. He gave him a great big hug and let him know he’s okay!  – Starlene Stringer

God Saved Me

Welcome home, Jazmin Kirkland! The North Texas mom of three is finally home after spending more than a year in the hospital battling Covid-19. Mrs. Kirkland was on a ventilator for a month and endured treatments for her lungs and heart. But she made it through. Dog on Campus

There’s a new staff member at Northside Elementary in Waxahachie this year. It’s Patches, an adorable service dog. Kids will be greeted by patches when they return to class there this week. I’m a little jealous! - Starlene Stringer

Butterfly Benches

Have you seen the beautiful butterfly benches a man from Georgia made to honor the victims in Uvalde? The mother of one of the young victims contacted, Sean Peacock, requesting he make a bench to honor the child she lost. He decided to make one to honor every person whose life was taken that day!  - Starlene Stringer

Mother and Daughter Pilots

This is beyond girl power! Captain Holly Petitt recently got to do something she’ll never forget. She piloted a Southwest Airlines flight with First Officer Keely Petitt.
