Day 1:  We depart from the airport of your choice and fly overnight.

Day 2:  We arrive in Athens, where we meet our Christian Expeditions Tour Director, who will remain with us throughout our trip, and transfer to our hotel. We have dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Athens.

Day 3:  We travel to Thessalonica (now Thessaloniki), where Paul preached and founded a Church to which he wrote the Epistles of 1st and 2nd Thessalonians. We see sites like the old city walls, theater and Roman market. Overnight in Thessaloniki.

Day 4:  We head to Philippi, where we see the site where it is believed that Lydia’s heart was opened by God to the Gospel (Acts 16:14). We also see the likely site of Paul’s imprisonment in Philippi in Acts 16. It was here that Paul and Silas prayed and sang hymns to God in spite of their imprisonment, and here that an earthquake shook the prison so that the doors flew open and the prisoners’ chains came loose, leading the jailer to contemplate suicide before famously asking Paul and Silas, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” (v. 30). We also see the Acropolis, Marketplace, Basilica and Theater before heading on to Neapolis. Neapolis, now called Kavala, is where Paul once landed with Timothy and Silas. We see Kavala’s Roman Aqueduct and Acropolis. Overnight in Kavala.

Day 5:  We head to Berea (now called Veria), where Paul and Silas went after they caused a riot in Thessalonica (Acts 17). The Bereans were an example to all subsequent generations of Christians, in that they “received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.” (v. 11) We see the location from which Paul preached to the Bereans. We head, then, to Kalambaka, where we take in the Meteora Monasteries, perched high on rocky cliffs, where we spend the night. Overnight in Kalambaka/Meteora area.

Day 6:  We board our 3-day cruise and head first to the island of Mykonos, where we disembark. We enjoy this picturesque island, with its excellent cuisine and shopping, before again boarding our cruise ship. Overnight aboard ship.

Day 7:  We sail to Turkey, where we make a stop at the port of Kusadasi. We see the archaeological site of ancient Ephesus. Paul preached, taught and lived in Ephesus for an extended period of time (Acts 19:1-10). We see what is believed to be the house where Mary, the Mother of Jesus, lived towards the end of her life. We move on to the Island of Patmos, where we see the Monastery of St. John and the cave where it is believed that John received the visions that now constitute the book of Revelation. Overnight aboard ship.

Day 8:  We head to Heraklion, a port city on the island of Crete which is mentioned in the narrative of Paul’s voyage to Rome in Acts 27. We see Knossos, the site of ancient Minoan civilization and of the mythological Minotaur and labyrinth. We then sail to Santorini, where we disembark and take in some of the greatest views on the planet. Overnight aboard ship.

Day 9:  We head to Corinth where Paul labored for the Gospel and met Aquila and Priscila. It was to the Church in Corinth that Paul wrote his famous 1st and 2nd Epistles to the Corinthians. We move on to Athens, where we take in some of the city’s great sites, like Parthenon and the Areopagus, where Paul famously preached in Acts 17. On the final night of our trip, we gather for our farewell banquet. Overnight in Athens.

Day 10:  We transfer to the airport where we board our return flight to the US.
