Lending a Hand

Texas Baptist Men have begun the cleanup following Hurricane Ian in Florida. They say it could take months to finish the work. Some of the volunteers say they do it, "because God tells us to help others!” (photo credit: NBC5  ~ Starlene Stringer

Life Savers

A Corsicana ISD employee is thanking her coworkers for saving her life. Kimberly Wells-Baker collapsed during a staff meeting and former EMT, Adam Walthall, was there. He checked for a pulse and she didn’t have one. So he grabbed a nearby AED and an athletic trainer began doing CPR. She's alive today because of it.  – Starlene Stringer

Still Winning

Former Dallas Mavericks star, Shaun Bradley, is sharing how his faith, family and friends got him through tough times. He says you can find triumph in tragedy and that’s what he did after a biking accident left him paralyzed from the chest down. The family man, still has a big heart and smile that inspires others to do the same!  – Starlene Stringer

Congratulations Clementine

Good morning to our friends at Cedar Hill Fire Station #212, where they are celebrating something super cool. Their fire dog, Clementine, is this year’s ASPCA Dog of the Year! She moved into the house to help the fire fighters cope with stress. But they helped her too, because she had been adopted, and returned to a shelter two times. You know what they say, 'The third time’s a charm!'  ~ Starlene Stringer

Employees to the Rescue

The city of Joshua in Johnson County honored a group of McDonald's employees who helped a victim of a fiery car wreck near their fast food restaurant. First responders say their efforts saved a life. (photo credit: FOXNEWS)

Free School Supplies

The start of school is just around the corner. If you or someone you know is need of financial help to cover the cost, you’ll love this. It’s time to register for the Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair! This year, it’s being held in person for the first time since 2019. They’ll have free school supplies, free hair cuts and more. You have to register to attend. Click the link and sign up today!  – Starlene Stringer

Kindness Speaks Volumes

If you’ve ever lost a pet, then you know how heartbreaking it can be.  Anna Brose was sad when her dog passed away. She called Chewy to see if she could donate the dog food she no longer needed. Anna never imagined the customer service rep would be so kind, or that she’d receive a special delivery a week later. It was a beautiful bouquet of flowers to help brighten her day!

Shaq is Back

Shaq is back in Texas and this time, he might be your neighbor! NBA great, Shaquille O’Neal just bought a house in North Texas and is doing business here too. Take a look!  (photo credit: FOX)

A Win for Her and Others Too

All babies are beautiful! But you’ve gotta see Isa Slish. The 7-month-old from Oklahoma just won the Gerber baby photo search contest and the $25,000 prize. Her victory is priceless. Isa was born without part of her right leg and her mom hopes her story will show others with limb differences, they can be or do anything they want!  - Starlene Stringer

Whose Children Are They?

"Whose Children Are They?" is the groundbreaking and powerfully persuasive documentary featuring brave teachers, empowered parents, and front-line experts who pull back the curtain about what is truly happening in our public schools today.

Heavy Hearted

A horrific crash claimed nine lives in West Texas this week, including recent Nocona High School graduate, Laci Stone. The good news is her mom says Laci had a personal relationship with God. She also had a tattoo matching the one she recently talked her mom into getting. The simple heart now means more than either of them probably ever imagined!  ~ Starlene Stringer

Fighting Fires and Cancer

Did you know Cancer is the leading cause of death in firefighters? Sadly, it’s true and a lot more people are aware of it, thanks to some local firefighters and their families. They recently walked 140 miles to help spread awareness! (photo credit: WFAA)  ~ Starlene Stringer
